Synopsis:

Review:
I, right from the very start, am a huge fan of the New Adult genre. With the influx of New Adult novels in the past two years, I decided on giving my newfound genre a try, and amazingly, I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one I've read. And Girls Are Players isn't an exception.
Although this book continues where the first one left off, it can still be read as a standalone. Girls Are Players is the second book in the G.A.P. series and this is Jessica Norton's story, whom we've met during the course of Guys Are Props Club.
For the plot, reading Girls Are Players was a pleasure because it's just my kind of pacing. It isn't too slow to be categorized under the did-not-finish list and not too fast to be an exhilarating-to-the-core-therefore-i-am-exhausted-and-i-wont-finish-this list. It took me on a roller coater of emotions and I enjoyed every bit! I really didn't expect myself to get attached to a certain character and cries when she does, and gets hurt when she does, but I did. I couldn't resist because INGRID SEYMOUR IS A GENIUS!
Now onto Jessica, Oh, the big bad Jessica from Guys Are Props Club. You might think that after reading the first book that I might, I don't know, want to cut her throat and leave her bleeding to death? WRONG. Because there has been a slew of books that tend to make me sympathize, or maybe even empathize with the main character and this book is among those! I really think that Ingrid did a great job in making me feel her emotions because when I was crying, laughing, dancing, and hating with her, it felt so real that I would be surprised to find myself sitting in my room, holding the iPad and reading. (Boohoo, I hate you, reality!) Right from the start, I really liked Jessica because I understood where all her bitterness comes from when she admits that she's still grieving over the lost of her relationship with her high school sweetheart, Taylor.
As for Taylor.. Hmm, Taylor, oh, Taylor! The hot and cryptic Taylor.. BTW, I loved, and by loved I mean loved, his tatts! The main reason why I went on a roller coaster because of his cryptic words! I was lifted off my feet! I loved the cloud of enigma surrounding him because that's what makes his (poorly planned) declarations of love cute! He and Jessica are like a Filipino speaking with a Chinese, they can't really tell each other things, but the way she understands him is the reason why I loved them both.
I am really recommending this book because of three reasons:
1. A really hot guy.
2. A really, really hot guy with tattoos.
3. A really, really hot guy with tattoos and cryptic words.
I'm betting that you're sold because of the three statements above? Fear not because other people will be too! LOL. I admit that when I first saw the cover, I was as sold well! Haha.
Go grab Girls Are Players because it is a must-read!

Taylor sat down on the bench and began to play a tune I’d never heard. It was mournful and soft and made my knees weak. I sat and listened, felt my eyes fill with tears as the melody reached inside me.
It seemed Taylor had done the opposite of me. He’d changed on the outside, but not one bit on the inside. He was still the same enigmatic, brooding person he’d always been. He still spoke in riddles if he spoke at all. He still could undo me with one look, one heartfelt song, one simple question.
God, I still loved him so much.
When he finished playing, he lowered his head, his breath hitching as he inhaled.
“W-was that one of yours?” I asked. He’d composed several pieces, and this one had that familiarity that made me almost sure he’d composed it.
He nodded. “It’s called . . . Taking Time.”
