SYNOPSIS
Auburn Reed has her entire life mapped out. Her goals are in sight and there’s no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover Owen is keeping major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.

The last thing Owen wants is to lose Auburn, but he can’t seem to convince her that truth is sometimes as subjective as art. All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…

REVIEW
“There are people you meet that you get to know, and then there are people you meet that you already know.”

Confess, confess, confess, confess. This book's like nothing I've ever read before—its like getting pulled above surface when you've been underwater for so long, a breath of fresh air. If anyone asks me to describe this book in just a few words, I would just sit in silence because this brilliant masterpiece can't be crammed into a few words, or maybe even a long sentence. This book, for me, is so much more than that. It encompasses love, loss, forgiveness, and so much more.

Have you ever experienced planning something and everything that can go wrong went wrong? That's kinda what happened in both the lives of Auburn and Owen. I'll leave it at that because some things you gotta experience on your own.

What I love most about this book is the confessions. What made the story much more intriguing is that the confessions are submitted by anonymous readers, just like us. Its like leaving your personal diary out in the open, for the whole world to see. That act, I think, is an act of bravery. Most people can't share confessions that personal even to their closest friends. And that's what makes this book stand out from the rest, it gives you a feeling that, somewhere out there, is someone who chose to confide in you. It gives you a boost for when you need encouragement, at least for me it does. Its like saying, 'there, I said it. Now, why can't you?' Also, apart from the confessions, the artworks are also something to look forward to.

Although I really love this book, I have to say that maybe the secret (y'all know what I'm talking about) should've come earlier so that e should've seen what a certain someone's reaction will be. Apart from that, the story also dragged at some parts. However, this book still is one of the most original works out there. But that's what's expected of CoHo, right? Her books give you the feeling of removing your bra after a very long day. She is that good.
